Minky Bronco

Kids are back to school, fall is back and I'm back after spending the Summer in a recliner healing from several of broken bones.  Still moving slow but glad to be able to sewing again.  Before I crashed my 4 wheeler I was able to get some sewing done for my newest grandson.  Each of my grand kids get a stuffed toy made out of Minky and for Wyatt I choose to make Little Bronco.  The pattern calls for the mane and tail to be made by cutting the fabric into strips or pulling the threads, since Minky fabric will not work for this I changed the pattern.  For the mane I used a contrasting fabric double the length of it, folded it in half and gathered up the raw edge to fit.  For the tail I made the lower section of the tail the contrasting color and gathered it up.  If you would like to do the same click on the pattern provided below.

Spring Has Sprung

Spring came late this year but it has finally arrived with the daffodils and tulips in full bloom and the birds singing their songs each morning.  So it is a great time to introduce my new pattern "Bluebirds". Now you can have birds greeting you each morning in your kitchen with this new pattern. The bluebirds can be simply embroidered or you can add some color or applique.  Instructions for all are included. Enjoy this wonderful time of the year.

Snowfall

The new Snowfall quilt pattern features embroidered snowflakes and makes a good winter project for those cold winter days. The sweater below used some of the snowflakes and three skeins of Cosmo Sparkles, you could use white cotton floss as well. The patterns were printed on Sticky Fabri Solvy before sticking into place on the sweater.  When the embroidery was finished the Fabri Solvy washed away.

Thankgiving

Just in time for Thanksgiving, a free apron pattern to make as a hostess gift or for yourself.  I picked bright colors and fabric from Strawberry Fields Revisited by Fig Tree for a a fresh look.  I added color before I embroidered but it would look nice with out the color too.  You can change the design for other holidays aprons or everyday aprons as well.  A great gift idea, hope you enjoy!
